Sansaar promotes happiness and wellbeing by helping individuals achieve optimum health through the principles of Ayurveda. Traced back over two thousand years, with roots in ancient India, Ayurveda is a traditional indigenous healing system. Sansaar has embraced these ancient practices and brought them to the modern world, helping with the stresses of everyday life.

Nina panesar-woods

Sansaar was founded by Nina, as a result of her own journey to finding mental and physical well-being.

Having worked for many years in the fast-paced world of finance, Nina began to experience the signs of stress. Nina didn't want to leave her professional life behind. Recognizing the tell-tale symptoms: poor sleep, decreasing energy levels and anxiety, she looked for a solution to help restore her health and help her manage the demands of combining a career and family.

Through a combination of Ayurveda and Yoga, she found what she found what she was looking for and a way to not only manage and exist, but instead, thrive and grow as a person too.

Yoga and meditation is now part of Nina's daily routine, together with an overall healthier lifestyle. She qualified as a yoga teacher in 2014 (teaching classes locally) and as an Ayurveda therapist in 2015.

Regardless of your reasons for looking to Ayurveda, Nina can help you find the right solution to meet your needs and guide you on the path most suitable for you.

Ayurveda teaches us that health is achieved through balance and order, unique to each individual and shaped by our lifestyle, diet age and body type. By rebalancing the four key areas: mind, body, senses and spirit, we can work using relaxation, to heal existing symptoms, and prevent sickness. Ayurveda offers the key to natural health and longevity.

THE KNOWLEDge of life and longevity

Ayurveda is ‘The knowledge of Life and Longevity’. Embracing Ayurveda is a lifestyle choice and one that will bring many benefits in living a longer, happier and healthier life.

The stresses of modern living can take their toll on our mental and physical well-being. Ayurveda offers us the chance to get back to our body’s natural balance and to allow the mind to free itself, reducing stress and physical ailments.

Some of the symptoms that Ayurveda can treat include:

  •      Headaches
  •      Low energy levels
  •      Weight gain / loss
  •      Skin conditions
  •      Trouble sleeping
  •      Anxiety
  •      Reduced Immunity
  •      Menopause

Dosha types

Dosha's are the Bio-elements that make up our bodies and are linked to the elements of nature.

The three Dosha are:

  •    Vata -  Air
  •    Pitta – Fire
  •    Kapha – Water

All three play their part in our bodies, and achieving the right balance is essential to well-being. However, each of us has a dominant body type, which can be identified by physical and psychological characteristics. This aids in the treatment of symptoms and prevention of disease.

Sometimes we just need to learn to take care of ourselves, and only then can we give our best to others

Ayurveda treatments work on the principles of touch and the movement of energy. Rhythmic massage and gentle pressure are used to relieve stress and encourage good circulation, aiding the flow of energy through the body. Your Ayurveda plan will include the creation of a unique blend of indigenous herbs and oils, tailored to your body type and to the relief of specific symptoms.

You will feel the benefits of Ayurveda treatments, as it they works to detoxify your body: encouraging good circulation and lymphatic drainage. By de-stressing body and mind and promoting effective energy flow, we enable our body’s natural ability to rest and repair, essential to achieving good health.

Ayurveda treatments may include the whole body, or focus on specific areas; rejuvenating facials, head massages, and touch therapy to the palms and souls of the feet. The pummeling technique is particularly helpful to combat areas of stress and tension, and for aided healing, for example following a sports injury or repetitive strain. This method is also highly effective for the treatment joint conditions such as arthritis and rheumatism.

Before your first treatment you will be taken through an individual and private consultation to discover your Ayurvedic dosha type.

Suggestions of which are the most suitable combinations of treatments and massage techniques for your dosha are made to address any imbalances identified during your consultation.

All treatments are started with a guided meditation through which you will be able to free your mind and prepare your body and afterwards you will be given time to relax and for your body to absorb the benefits of your treatment.  Ayurvedic massages are designed to free up energy channels leading to increased rejuvenation and increasing your mood and sense of wellbeing, while decreasing stress.

Nina uses the Tri-Dosha range of skincare and bodycare products.
