Ayurvedic Autumn Spice Mix

These warming spices are a great addition this Autumn to soups, stews, vegetables and many more dishes.

  • 2 tbsp Coriander seeds

  • 2 tbsp Cumin seeds

  • 1 tsp Whole Peppercorns

  • 1 tbsp Ground Ginger

  • 1 tbsp Ground Turmeric

  • ¼ tsp Ground Cinnamon

Dry-roast the coriander, cumin seeds and peppercorns for two minutes over a very low heat, or until they release their fragrance.  Remove from the heat and allow these to cool down before adding these into a coffee grinder or mortar and pestle.   Blend into a fine ground spice mix.  Add the ground turmeric, ginger and cinnamon giving this a good mix. Store spice blend in an airtight glass jar.
